Hyundai Santro Xing

More than a decade ago, in year 1999, Hyundai launched a very convenient model of car which was named Santro in sub-continental region of Asia. That car saw a huge success since it was very convenient for people’s lifestyle and because the price range was affordable. Due to its huge success especially in Asian regions like India and Malaysia, the production of this car continued and kept on having improvements and face lifts. Hyundai has lately launched its second generation of Santro cars and it is famous in sub-continent with the name of Santro Xing. This car is very much an upgraded version of the earlier Santro and has been in production since year 2003.

Engine

Hyundai Santro Xing is classified into the category of ‘city car’ as it is well suited for driving in city but maneuvering on rugged terrains can cause problems since the engine does not deliver enough power plus physically the car is not designed to take on the hardships of nature. Santro Xing offers a major upgrade of its engine and rest of the system. Santro Xing now boasts a 1086 cc engine with 12 Valves. It delivers the optimum power of 40kW. The engine is new 1.1 eRlx Epsilon which is famous for its efficiency. For each liter of fuel consumed, this car can now run 11km in the city and almost 16km on the highway. The car can be opted either with manual 5 speed gear system or 4 speeds automatic in case you want to get rid of the hassle of frequently changing gears in heavy traffic. This car has torque of 96Nm at 4000 rpm. One can also opt for anti lock breaking system. » Read more: Hyundai Santro Xing Price, Specification, Features and Reviews

Audi TT Coupe Independent Car Review

If I was to ask 50 people on the street what word sums up the Germans, I think over 50% would say ‘efficient’. It is the type of country that builds things that are extremely efficient! Nobody really thinks of the Germans as stylish. I know that there are the odd exceptions with say Heidi Klum or Claudia Schiffer…..but how can you say a country has style when 99% of the population aspire to be David Hasselhoff?

A few years after the war (Sorry, I had to mention it!) and the ‘denazification’ Germany went in to efficiency overdrive to prove to the world that they had done away with the mad Austrians with silly little Moustaches who craved world domination and that they just wanted to be loved!.

How did they do this? By giving us one of the most stylish and beautiful cars ever made, the 300SL Gullwing! This car isn’t just beautiful but also efficient! So efficient in fact that when it was raced for the first time in the world famous Mille Miglia, it finished 2nd and 4th place and over the coming years would win the Le-Mans 24 hour race as well! But this unfortunately apart from the pre current SL or the Porsche 356 roadster they haven’t really given us a lot since!. » Read more: Audi TT Coupe Independent Car Review
